Sustainability
Every bikini purchased donates to the R.O.L.E Foundation. The R.O.L.E Foundation is an organization ran as a zero waste facility running environmental development programs in Bali.
It all begins with sustainability!
Growing up on an island has given me the ability to look at Mother Nature in a totally different aspect. I was taught to appreciate all that she brings and nurture the Earth. When first pondering the idea of a swim line, my first thought was “How can I make this as sustainable as possible?” I wanted to create sexy and fun suits that made sustainability fun! The suits themselves are made of Econyl yarn from recycled plastics found in the ocean. From there I figured I would try to continue the eco friendliness; the liners on the bottoms are made of 90% recycled materials as well as the packaging that is 100% compostable! Shore Break Swim’s packaging is a REAL dirtbag!
The core of my first line is based off the Earth. I chose some of my favorite earthly tones from dark mocha brown to represents the ground to a lighter green to represent flowers and grass. This first collection is definitely what I want to be the basis of my brand: connecting back to the Earth. I chose a lot of circles in my brand such as the heat press label and the hanging tag to symbolize the round Earth. Every detail in the pieces have a special meaning to me, and I hope they do for you too!
